Thousand Smiles clinics are held 4 times a year in Ensenada, Mexico.

The first day of the weekend clinic -Friday- is devoted to dental care for as many children as can be seen. Dentistry and orthodontics are offered at the newly opened Dental Clinic. Also on Friday at the Dental Clinic surgeons are examining children to determine who can be helped by surgery on the next day.

Early on Saturday morning of each clinic, volunteers transport a trailer containing all operating room supplies and equipment to the General Hospital. Then volunteer nurses, surgeons, technicians and anesthesiologists assemble everything into the hospital's operating rooms and the cases begin. Often as many as 32 surgeries to correct facial deformities and related ear problems are conducted.

During both the dental and surgical clinic days tireless volunteers assist the children and their families. Lunches, toothbrushes and counseling are made available to all. All volunteers are welcomed. As are donations. Or, contact us for more information about Thousand Smiles/Mil Sonrisas.
