The 1,000 Smiles Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on care of the less fortunate children in Mexico who suffer from lack of dental care and from maxillo-facial deformities such as cleft palate.

David Nussbaum with his brother Matt, have been working on a project for the past 3 years and have developed an electronic medical record for the patient files at Thousand Smiles Clinic. One thousand documents have been scanned, indexed, and stored on a website https://TSFeCharta.net from which the records can be securely accessed from anywhere in the world. David will continue to add patient files to this database until the entire clinic is included. This project has taken many hours of work and once completed will eliminate the loss of patient information and improve care for the children who attend the Thousand Smiles Clinic.

Matt has worked for CutCo cutlery over the summer and has donated $210.00 from his earnings to the clinic.

David has worked over the past summer in the Alumni office at his school,  Francis Parker, and has decided to donate $211.00 from his earnings to the clinic.

A special thanks to Nurse Kim Ruetten who brought her sons, along with Kathy Hewell and her son to help out at the clinic. Not only did they work, they raised $750 by collecting bottles and cans for TSF! These 3 teens paid for 2-3 surgeries with their efforts! Shown in in the photo with the teens and Kim Ruetten, is President Joe Mintz accepting the checks.
